Sort of like a words to know post… only more stupider

Not all that glitters is gold, not every girl who says she’s 18 really is of age, and not everything that’s interesting involves someone who’s been in a popular movie (band, etc) doing something stupid.

There are dozens of things that happen each year that no one ever hears about. Sometimes they’re good, sometimes they’re bad, and sometimes they’re just mind-meltingly bizzare.

I found a great roundup of interesting facts and discoveries that surfaced during this year over at Tampa Bay Online. (On a personal sidenote, finding out this is from Tampa Bay doubles the interesting factor for me. These days, I tend to associate that area with unfinished projects of gargantuan magnitude.)

I stumbled my way blindly into the ED IRC channel earlier today. This was probably a mistake as it was asked whether or not I’m a skraeling, which I successfully denied, but had no idea what I was denying. My hesitance there only proves that I need to lurk moar. At any rate, I was just in time to be pointed towards an attempt at lulz which in turn led to my finding out about another religious extremist of high caliber. The first one I heard about was very recently beset by many many people who wanted nothing more than to watch him fail to respond with anything other than batshit insanity. Visit their summary of 2006 page for a basic rundown of ED’s reports of drama and events during 2006. Incidentally, I think I saw this lady trying to preach in Penn Station once. True Story.
~~~~end of ED-related content~~~~
JibJab has apparently also produced a 2006 review. However, I figure they’ve been unfunny since they tried to start charging for popular content. Although making kids say “nucking futs” and “ass” might make up for it. They lose points due to their needing to refer to their own content (linked at the end of the 2006 video) as “funny”. I’ll leave that for you to decide.
