Opera Kestrel Alpha Release Today!
Holy pre-release, Batman!
I happened to be going to look for a new WikiSearch panel, and what before my wandering eyes did appear but the announcement on the front of My Opera stating that the Alpha release of Opera 9.5, AKA Kestrel, is available!
I’m totally getting it. You should too!
My favorite browser getting released under the name of my favorite predatory bird. Could today be any niftier?
My biggest hopes for this release:
- More stability in RSS updates
- More support for Flickr
- Smoother integration of 3rd party add-ons (Despite knowing their philosophy regarding excessive outside development, it is sometimes nice to get a few outside bells and whistles, just look at the success of the Firefox and Wordpress dev communities!)
- A few more mail options
- More robust backup and restoration options
(Sorry, DrLaunch, I haven’t a clue who else to tag. How about five of you wonderful readers contribute by stating 5 things YOU would like to see in Opera!)

Great of you to do this! And if I’m right, most of your wishes have been worked on and is being worked on at the moment.
This is a part of the “5 things I’d like to see in Opera” game. I tagged 5 people who probably have opinions about Opera. You should try to pick 5 people you know have tried Opera to “tag”. You can read more about the game here: http://operawatch.com/news/2007/07/blog-tag-5-things-id-like-to-see-in-opera.html
